The 6th Expert Conference on Traffic and Transport Safety in the Serbian MoD and Armed Forces

The 6th Expert Conference on Traffic and Transport Safety in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in the organization of the Logistics Department of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff is held today in the House of Guard in Topcider.
 
 Opening the Conference, the Head of the Logistics Department of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Brigadier General Zeljko Ninkovic emphasized that although significant attention in the defense system is paid to traffic safety of its members, as long as there are killed and injured persons in traffic accidents we cannot be content.
 
“Last year the Strategy on the safety of the military traffic participants was adopted and since this year we have to begin to evaluate the level we reached in its implementation”, General Ninkovic stressed.
 
The Head of the Logistics Department expressed his expectation that the suggested measures would give a new impulse to the enhancement of the state of safety of the military traffic participants in the following period.

 
The Conference today gathered the experts on traffic and transport in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, who presented 49 papers, as well as the experts on traffic safety from our country.
 
Conferences on traffic safety are organized every five years, and a special emphasis was laid for the first time on the transport system in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
 
The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces have traditionally paid significant attention to the safety of the military traffic participants on roads. The special attention is paid to traffic accidents of the defense system members by military vehicles and especially by private cars when they have taken part in accidents as passengers and pedestrians, as well as the effects of the undertaken preventive measures.
