The ECRAF Executive Committee (EC) has decided to cancel the physical ECRAF Congress and General Assembly in September 2020 due to the Covid-19 situation in Europe. (For more details, please see: Executive Committee Skype meeting MIN APR_2020 and Executive Committee Skype meeting MIN MAY_2020 We are instead planning to arrange a 1½ days Web Seminar (ECRAF Webinar 2020) 08^th and 09^th September with day two as a reserve day or a half day seminar in case of many topics. We are planning to use Microsoft Teams for the “Webinar” and we are now looking into the technical setup for this. The Webinar will include topic from Germany, the General Assembly and the Congress 2020. We are planning to arrange a Technical Microsoft Teams Setup meeting 04^th September 0900-1100 so we can be best prepared for the Webinar. Invitations for the Webinar will follow before summer break 2020. Please consider if you have topics for the Webinar and return your topics in order to the invitations.

Please have a look into the “ECRAF Strategy and Action Plan 2020-2024” and return your comments NLT 12^th June 2020, silent procedures rules.

The drafted ECRAF statutes will be one of the topics for the Webinar.

The ECRAF Executive Committee hope you are all well and able to have a normal life due to the Covid-19 situation.

ECRAF Congress 2019 took place in Gdansk, Poland from 09^th to 13^th September 2019 with participation 27 delegates from 16 nations.

The main topics were:

1. Current challenges in the field of Road Safety in European Armed Forces
2. Possibilities to harmonize driver education, car safety and military driving rules to get Military Road Safety standards

Besides presentaions from Polish road safety institutions, both, civilian and military, there were presentation from 12 nations, with many interesting information regarding road safety in military.

ECRAF General Assembly in Gdansk on 12^th September 2019 has some conclusions which will take effect in ECRAF future work.

New elected ECRAF President Johan PIHLSTRÖM (SWE) will lead ECRAF in next two years (2019 to 2021), togehter with Vice-President Joni TAUNILA (FIN).

Henrik VINTHER (DNK) was appointed as ECRAF Secretary for next two years (2019-2021).

The General Assembly expressed its gratitude for the former President LTC Jan ŠEVČIK (CZE) and Secretary of LTC Aleksandar GOŠIĆ (SRB) for their leadership of ECRAF in previous years. Also, the General Assembly paid special thanks and recognition to Mr. Guy COLMAN (BEL) for his many years of contribution to the work of ECRAF, as Mr.Guy COLMAN leaves active duty and retires.

Next ECRAF Congres will be held in Bonn, Germany, 07-11 September 2020.
