Preparations for the ECRAF Congress 2027 in Oslo, Norway, are now underway.
The ECRAF Executive Committee (EC) is scheduled to meet via Microsoft Teams in January 2027 to coordinate the next steps, discuss the proposed agenda and formalise the official invitation to member countries.
Building on the valuable discussions and exchange of experiences during the 2026 ECRAF Congress in Prague, the upcoming congress in Oslo is expected to continue exploring key challenges related to military road safety.
Potential topics include military driver training and education, risk assessment and management, driver fatigue, and the development of effective road safety measures within the armed forces. Particular attention may be given to how military organisations can improve driver preparedness, reduce operational risks and strengthen road safety through training, shared experiences and practical solutions.
As always, the congress aims to encourage active participation, meaningful discussions and the exchange of best practices between member countries, supporting ECRAF’s shared commitment to Vision Zero.
The final agenda and programme will be developed in cooperation with the Executive Committee and the host nation.
Official invitations are expected to be distributed during February or March 2027, together with further information about the congress programme and practical arrangements.
We look forward to welcoming representatives from across Europe to Oslo for another opportunity to strengthen cooperation and advance military road safety.
